IUT Strengthens Education Integrity in Bangladesh

The Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh, is hosting a significant academia-led event with the theme “Retraction Awareness Empowering Researchers to Protect Scholarly Integrity” on 15th January 2026. This is a form of education to generate awareness around the dishonesty of participating scholars, researchers, and students in editorial publication.

The conference will focus on important global issues, including retraction of paper(s), plagiarism, and academic integrity. It is to inculcate a value of honesty, transparency, and accountability— the basis of academic excellence—that IUT has undertaken this initiative.

Collaterally, IUT announces a call for Associate Professors to have a post with the status of Academic Visiting and Applicants. These prestigious positions are available for leading international scholars who demonstrate a strong commitment to responsible research and academic integrity. Successful candidates will contribute to our teaching, postgraduate research supervision, and other collaborative initiatives, playing a key role in defining the standards for ethical and innovative scholarship. All applications must be sent through the IUT website by 17 February 2026.

In keynote talks, expert panel discussions, and interactive sessions, Retraction Awareness will delve into the multiple facets of research ethics, publication practices, and responsible academic data use. IUT imagines a future where ethics, responsibility, and sustainability become part of what drives innovation forward – and thereby makes sure that research truly serves humanity right.

Islamabad Center for Peace and Development warmly welcomes IUT’s visionary momentum to enhance the integrity, transparency, and accountability around research. Initiatives like Retraction Awareness are essential for fostering a global academic environment that contributes to peace, prosperity, and sustainability.
